The God Of Small Things /Arundhati Roy

The God of Small Things  is the debut novel by Indian author Arundhati Roy, which won the Booker Prize for Fiction in 1997. Set in Ayemenem, Kerala, the book explores how the strict social rules and hierarchies of Indian society known as the "Love Laws" destroy the lives of twins Rahel and Estha and their family. The story unfolds in a non-linear narrative, shifting between the twins as seven-year-olds in 1969 and as adults reunited in 1993.
