Joseph Murphy was an Irish-American author, a minister in the New Thought movement, and a motivational speaker. He was born in County Cork, Ireland on May 20, 1898. As a minister of the Church of Divine Sciences, Joseph Murphy wrote, lectured, and presented extensively on human potential, development and reconstruction. He also psychoanalyzed the everyday lives of common people and suggested concepts to improve the human condition. Joseph Murphy also hosted a daily radio show which was tuned in by millions of people. His oeuvre constitutes over thirty books.
